A project's Stakeholders card lists the people at the client who matter to the work, each with a role: Executive sponsor, Project lead, Technical contact, Security lead, Billing contact, Oversight, or anything you type. It sits on the project's Overview next to People.

Who can be a stakeholder#
- Only contacts at the project's client can be added — the picker searches that company's contacts and nobody else's, so a project's list can never name another client's people.
- A project with no client can't have stakeholders: add a client to the project first.
- People at other organizations who should hear about the project (a parent company's executives, an outside partner) aren't stakeholders.
- Templates don't have stakeholders; a project made from a template starts with an empty list.
Adding and changing stakeholders#
Anyone who can edit the project — Edit projects plus an editor (or higher) role on that project — can Add, Change role or Remove a stakeholder from the card. Everyone who can open the project sees the list. Removing someone only takes them off this project's list; they stay a contact at the client. Every change is recorded in the project's audit trail.
The card shows each person's title and the email address AspirePro would use for them at this client (their work email there, if they have one). Their name links to the contact for people who can open contacts.
When someone leaves the client#
If a stakeholder is later removed from the client's company, they stay on the list marked No longer at {client}, with no address shown, so the history still reads right. Remove them, or add their replacement.
Merging two contacts moves their stakeholder rows to the contact you keep; if both were on the same project, the kept contact's role stays.
Prox and AI clients#
Prox and connected AI clients can read a project's stakeholders (names, roles, titles, and whether they're still at the client) and replace the list with contacts at the project's client. They can't see addresses.
The client portal never shows the stakeholder list.
