Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is professional services automation (PSA) software?
PSA software runs the full lifecycle of client work in one system: winning the work (CRM), scoping and scheduling it (projects and resourcing), delivering and supporting it (tasks and service desk), and billing it (time, expenses, agreements, invoices). Because everything shares one set of clients, people and permissions, a change in one place — an approved timesheet, a closed ticket — flows through to the numbers without anyone re-keying it.
Do I have to use every AspirePro module?
No. Every module is a toggle in System → Features. Turn off CRM if you sell out of HubSpot, turn off HR if you run people ops elsewhere. A disabled module disappears from the sidebar and its routes are blocked, so nobody sees half a product.
How is AspirePro different from using separate tools?
The connections are the product. A ticket logs time against an agreement; that time lands on a timesheet, gets approved, becomes an invoice line, and shows up in the client's profitability margin — with no export, no sync job and no reconciliation. Separate tools can each do their slice, but the join between them is manual work that someone on your team is doing today.
Can clients see anything inside AspirePro?
Only what you switch on. The client portal is a separate, default-deny login bound to a contact: each capability — view tickets, reply, create tasks, see a project — is granted individually, per client user, and companies have to be opted in as well.
Is my data isolated from other customers?
Yes. Every customer gets their own database, not a shared table with a tenant column. Combined with two-factor authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, and nightly off-site backups, that keeps one customer's data physically separate from another's.
How long does it take to get started?
Your organization is provisioned in minutes and starts with sensible defaults for statuses, priorities and roles. Most teams import companies and contacts from CSV or XLSX on day one, connect a mailbox and calendar, then switch on modules a week at a time rather than all at once.
