Every dashboard tile, report and Prox answer follows the same rules. Where a tile's figure depends on one of them, the tile carries it as a footnote, so two numbers that look alike never quietly disagree.
Revenue and cash#
Invoiced revenue#
Invoiced revenue is counted before sales tax (each invoice's total less its tax), in the month of its issue date. Draft and void invoices are not counted. Invoiced Revenue, Invoiced Minus Expenses, Revenue by client (invoiced) and Expense ratio use it.
Invoiced (incl. tax)#
Invoice totals include sales tax, counted by issue date. Draft and void invoices are not counted. Finance → Reports shows this figure; dashboards and Profitability count revenue before tax.
Profitability revenue#
Profitability figures count revenue before sales tax. Whether revenue is what has been invoiced or invoiced plus what is still expected follows your organization's Profitability settings, so these figures always match the Profitability page.
Whole months#
Profitability figures are kept by calendar month, so a period that starts or ends partway through a month includes that whole month.
Cash collected#
Cash collected is the payments received, by payment date, tax included. Payments on draft, void or deleted invoices are not counted.
Collection rate#
Collection rate is the share of the invoices issued in the period (totals, tax included) that has been paid so far, whenever the payment arrived.
Time#
Hours logged#
Hours are logged time, counted by the day the work was done. Time a reviewer rejected is never counted.
Billable, no charge and non-client time#
Every hour is one of three kinds: billable; client time with no charge (time on a client that isn't billed); or time with no client. Whether time is client time depends on what it was logged on, not on the Billable switch.
Time on deleted records#
Time logged on a ticket, project or task that was deleted later still counts in hours: the work was done.
Project burn#
Budget vs. actual compares the hours logged on a project and its tasks with the project's estimate, as the project page does: time a reviewer rejected and time on deleted tasks are not counted.
Unbilled WIP#
Unbilled work is billable time not yet on an invoice, at the rate stamped when it was logged, less what an agreement covers. A client that bills approved time only counts approved time. It is a running balance, not a figure for a period.
Unbilled work on deleted records#
Time on a ticket, project or task deleted since isn't unbilled work: an invoice can no longer include it.
Sales#
Days to close#
Days to close count from the day a deal was first created, in HubSpot when it came from there, to the day it was won. A deal whose start date is after its close date (imported without its original create date) is left out, and the tile says how many.
Dates#
Calendar dates#
Time, invoices, payments, expenses and agreement dates are counted by their calendar date, which never moves with time zones.
Events near midnight#
Activities, tickets, deals, surveys and bookings are counted by the moment they happened, on the period's days in its time zone: yours on screen, the schedule's for an emailed report.
